HealthyDesign.City is a partnership between the Canadian Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium (CANUE) and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. We are committed to making information about the health effects of Canadian communities’ built environment accessible to urban planners, public health professionals, policy makers, community organizers and engaged citizens. To do this, we are developing digital tools that draw on robust open-source datasets to provide nationally-consistent indicators of neighbourhood-level urban built environments across Canada.

MISSION: To make data on healthy neighbourhoods in Canadian cities accessible to everyone.

VISION: To see urban environmental inequities decline in Canadian cities through engaged community planning and data-driven solutions.
